Welcome

As you are all aware it has been very difficult to get any pre season games, this seems to get more difficult each year due to it being when most people are going away on holiday. On contacting numerous teams it was a case of just not enough players available to make it a worthwhile but eventually after many knock backs we got a pre-season friendly at Mackworth College on Wednesday 10th of September against a very well organised Mickleover side. There was a lot of positives to take from this game one of which was how the new squad members fitted in & did what was asked.

Overall it was a good performance from a team that have not played a competitive match since last season against a very good side who caused us some problems, but in the end a 2-2 draw seemed a pretty fair result. On this showing it gives us plenty of promise for what is to come in the weeks & months ahead. We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who were able to turn up & support the team, we hope you enjoyed it. We would like you all to get behind the team and really crank up the volume when the season begins this Sunday 14th,lets make the opposing teams know who Belper Sports Under15s are by not only the way we play football but also the way you support the team.

The first match of the season is a home game against Heanor on 14th September 10:30 ko. For those who don?t know our home pitch is at the Charleshill playing fields at Loscoe you can get directions off DERBY CITY LEAGUE web site under pitches. We would like all players normally to arrive by 10:00am at the latest but because of handing out the new kit before the first match we would like them here for 9:45 no later. We hope this will not cause any problems. If you have any please don?t hesitate to get in touch with either Mark, Andy or Gary.

New Kit

For this up and coming season all players will be given a brand new kit sponsored by Geoffs Convenience Store. This comprises of 1 shirt which will be personalised with their name & number plus shorts & socks. It will be the players responsibility to make sure they turn up with all the correct kit for every match. We feel that this is essential for them so they, as a team present, as well as conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

All players are reminded that they must turn up for TRAINING & MATCHES WITH SHINPADS.

NO SHINPADS = NO FOOTBALL

What we expect from the players this season is

But at the same time not lose site of the fact it has to be ENJOYABLE & FUN even more so if your winning!

Subscrpitions

Now the worst bit of all, the dreaded Subs, but good news they have stayed the same ?12.00 a month starting September through till April which we think is incredible.

No increase for yet another year, but due to problems last season with the collecting of subs through out the club we would like you to keep up to date with these payments so it makes everyones life easier, also it will be possible to pay by standing order, these details to follow...
