Objectives for U12 squad

  1. We will work with the players that we currently have, rewarding them for their continued loyalty and commitment to Belper Sports FC.
  2. We will aim to develop each individual player through improving their core skills and understanding of the game.
  3. We will start to work on 11-a-side team shape and tactics which will be reflected in some of the training exercises over the course of the season.
  4. We will try our best to encourage a positive and supportive environment to ensure that all players get the best possible social and sporting experience from their involvement in football.

Belper Sports FC is working to the chartered standard for junior football. This requires us to conduct ourselves according to certain guiding principles.

Match days

A: Players We will select and take a set number of players to each competitive league and cup match. This will not be the full squad. We will advise of exact numbers at the forthcoming kit meeting on September 9th (see Diary Dates for details)

B: Parents and supporters Thank you all for your help and support to both U10 teams last season. This was greatly appreciated and we welcome your continued commitment for the 2008/09 season. We will be needing help with the following:

Home matches Home teams are expected to provide a referee. We have nine league matches at home plus cup matches where we are drawn to play at Whitemoor. We have a number of people we can call on; however we may need your help on odd occasions. Assistant referee ? volunteers to run the line. Goals ? putting up and taking down nets. Also flags.

Away matches Assistant referee ? volunteers to run the line. Of course, there may be other little jobs that will help the team run as smoothly as possible ? thank you in advance. NB ? All volunteers should be supported and treated with respect in the spirit of the codes of conduct as found at: www.belpersportsfc.org.uk and www.thefa.com.

Nick and Andy

Nick is the manager of the team. Andy provides coaching support during training and on match days. There will be a number of fixtures where one of us may not be able to attend. We may need extra help on these match days.

Bits and pieces

Nick is the manager of the team. Andy provides coaching support during training and on match days. There will be a number of fixtures where one of us may not be able to attend. We may need extra help on these match days. The season starts on Saturday September 13th at 10.30am with a home fixture against Ilkeston Athletic.

Subs are ?12/month payable from September ? April inclusive. September?s subs must be in before the new kit is issued.

We will be arranging a photo shoot for the players in their new kits. We hope to get these pictures into the local press. This event will be held at The Lion Hotel, Belper in Sept/Oct. We will confirm dates and timings.

We would like to acknowledge Louise Bednal and Carl Lambert for their hard work securing sponsorship for home and away kits and tracksuits.

We hope that you can make it to the team meeting at 7.30pm on Sep 9th at The Old Kings Head where Nick and Andy will be available to issue the new kits and answer any questions that you may have about the U11 set up at Belper Sports FC.

We are looking forward to an exciting season as the players develop and grow in the 11-a-side game.
